In His Own Words:
A Review of the Carson Presidency
2003-2005

Editor’s Note: Will’s tenure as President can be summed up in a single word: ‘‘transformation.’’  In only two short years, dealing with issues as diverse as fallen trees, broadening our audience appeal, maintaining our presence on the WWW, and improving door traffic flow, he’s left an indelible impression.

Accordingly, only two questions seemed appropriate for this interview: What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishments? What is your vision for our future?

THEATERGUILDWG.ORG: What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishments during your tenure?

WILL: I think that the greatest accomplishments during my tenure as President were starting the charity fundraiser revue and introducing the Guild to a whole new set of patrons. I would also say that producing more contemporary shows (Sylvia and Epic Proportions) has helped move the Guild into a new direction.

THEATERGUILDWG.ORG: What vision do you have for the Guild's future?

WILL: I would like to see the Guild continue to evolve and be open to trying new shows as well as be open to having new actors step on stage. I hope that the wheels that have been set in motion will continue to turn. I would like to see more respect and pride come from the membership. Let’s not let the spirit of the Guild die. We have a great thing going and we need to promote it.
